Project Summary
The Girls Leadership and Mentoring Programme (G-LAMP) was designed to empower adolescent girls with leadership, communication, and advocacy skills needed to become confident change-makers in their communities. The programme focused on personal development, mentorship, gender equality awareness, and community engagement. Through interactive learning sessions, mentorship activities, and advocacy training, girls were encouraged to overcome social and cultural barriers, build self-esteem, and actively contribute to community development.
As part of the programme, 20 girls were trained as Community Ambassadors to speak out against Gender-Based Violence (GBV), harmful practices, and other issues affecting girls and women within their communities. The project was implemented in August 2024.
